Shot Composition and Framing
We will be using this to conceal the identities of the three henchmen. We will not have shots which reveal the henchmens faces instead we will have shots of other parts of their body to create mystery and suspense we are also likely to use motivated cuts we also may include some motivated pans, tilts if we are able to execute them correctly, this will create a sense of mystery around these characters and by not revealing their faces will keep the audience wondering who they are and what they are going to do.
Close ups
We will be using close ups in our thriller opening. Close ups on certain things signify that they are important in the storyline of the film which will make the audience wonder why they are important and what they are going to be used for.
Cross Cutting
We will be using cross cutting to cut between two lines of action this will create tension and suspense a particular case in which we will use this is cross cutting between the 3 henchmen Nathan and Nathaniel this will make the audience think what have these three got to do with eachother. It also shows that these things are happening at the same time.
Ambient Sounds - Non Diagetic & Non Diagetic
We will use ambient sounds in our opening to make the setting more eerie, mysterious we will try and create these diageticly if we feel that we do not have the right ambient sounds then we may choose to add some pre recorded ones in.
