To help us add effects and transitions for our thriller opening we need to know how to use the effects and transitions correctly. To do this we looked at this video tutorial on http://www.apple.com/finalcutexpress/tutorials/#transitions.
How to do it
To add effects to our movie we need to click on the effects tab and choose which effect we need. Then all we need to do is drag it inbettween our cuts to help us have a more flowing sequence.
