Mystery Thrillers

Films where the main characters are attempting to solve a mystery. They usually involve a lot of suspense and tension. Some examples of mystery thrillers are The Number 23 and Vertigo.

The Number 23
The graph on the right displays who rated the film 'The Number 23' on the IMDb website. It shows that this film is most popular with females under 18, but this can be misleading because only 198 females under 18 voted. So taking this into account, i believe that all people under 18 are the most popular audience for this film. If we therefore decide to do a mystery thriller we will need to use them as a target audience.





Vertigo

The graph on the right show the ratings for the film 'Vertigo'. this is clearly a very popular film and it is most popular (debatebly) with males under 18. However, it is a film that is very popular amongst all viewers but mostly males.









In conclusion, if we were to choose to do a mystery thriller then we would need to target it at males of all ages to have the greatest effect.
